A medium production environment (MPE) is an environment dedicated for a single tenant with medium or large business requirement.
Typically a MPE will be used for customer which require either a higher level of isolation or some special business requirements which can't be meted in a multi tenancy environment.
A MPE share the same level of infrastructure resources as a multi tenancy environment.
